And fucking "Coulson Lives"

(Anonymous) 2013-12-31 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry, but Clark Gregg's contract hasn't expired, and the man himself confirmed that his charatcer was alive days after The Avengers came out. Tumblr did nothing, and using the same petition when characters get killed off on another show (coughcoughsupernatural) is doing nothing aside from adding needless commentary to the discussion.

I'm butthurt and pretentious, I know, but I see SO MUCH of it that I'm beyond sick of it.

No, the 'confirmed his character was alive' was an interview question answered a month or so before the movie came out that he said on twitter afterwards was a total lie designed to throw people off the track and not spoil.

I don't think the fan campaign was the sole reason for his resurrection, but had it been met with a resounding meh, I doubt it would have happened.

I haven't seen a Coulson Lives post for a while, but maybe you should actually read some of them, considering you're wrong.

Pretty sure we stopped 'em after "Mission Accomplished" and all.

But even back then, it wasn't really a quest to get Coulson back (though it's nice that he came back). It was just a fun fandom thing to do that we had fun doing together and playing like secret agents while writing up reports.
