I quit retail forever, got a volunteer position where I've built a bunch of skills, and made connections that led to a paying job actually doing what I went to college for.

Oh man, finding a job for something you actually spent an arm and leg as school for is awesome. The only education jobs I can find pay like half what my current job does. : /
