Woot! If you have a choice, get a gas oven. They are the best! What kind of fridge did you get? I friggin' love new appliances. So shiny and new!

No gas ovens. I'm terrified of the fucking things, and anyway the gas pipe is in a REALLY inconvenient place (read: the laundry area. Yeah, I know.) We're saving up to put in an appliance socket by the kitchen counter. It's a Frigidaire, and I love it.

Oh man, me too. The house I rented in college had a gas stove and I spent the entire year convinced I was going to blow everything the fuck up every time I made dinner...

an electric oven might be a better choice vov

we have a gas oven but something hasn't been working right with it for years now but we can't repair it because it's discontinued, there are no replacement parts and we can't even pull it apart ourselves to see wtf went wrong

(it cooks things unevenly and takes forever, like, a 30 minute recipe takes over an hour)

so we definitely want an electric oven next D:

(oh and really, congrats on your refrigerator! I remember you mentioning you didn't have one, so I'm really glad you scored one. having one really changes the food game something hardcore!)
