I also made great strides in personal growth after being in a depressive rut for nearly two years. 2014 will bring more changes if I can keep myself going (and I will make sure that I will).

And I completely understand how hard it is to get out of depressive rut. I was in one for about 8-9 months and had to claw my way out. It isn't all sunshine and puppies, but I am certainly better now.

A big motivator for me was realizing just how much time I had lost - it was just too easy to fall into a simple enough routine and neglect everything else I needed to do for myself. That was the hardest part for me, to finally realize that I needed to get better because it seemed impossible at the time. I'm glad you're doing better now! I'm finally getting there myself, and that feels pretty damn good.
