The expression "saving herself for him" makes me want to gag. Like a woman is diminished if she's had sex? It reminds me of this one speaker we had a tenth-grade health class, who passed around a rose and had everyone tear off a petal, then said it showed what you'd be like at marriage if you had lots of premarital sex. Ick.

I hate the expression to, but it is less squicky to me when a woman is expressing it on regards to her own sexual preferences. As long as she's not forcing other people to abide by it, then I don't mind.

Is each petal supposed to represent a sex act or a partner?? Both are factually incorrect anyway; but if they're trying to instill the idea that lots of sex = damaging, then wouldn't lots of sex with one married partner eventually lead to exactly the same thing?!
