I like to picture Sansa saving herself for Sandor and Sandor being gentle so he doesn't hurt her

This isn't even about the ship

The expression "saving herself for him" makes me want to gag. Like a woman is diminished if she's had sex? It reminds me of this one speaker we had a tenth-grade health class, who passed around a rose and had everyone tear off a petal, then said it showed what you'd be like at marriage if you had lots of premarital sex. Ick.

I hate the expression to, but it is less squicky to me when a woman is expressing it on regards to her own sexual preferences. As long as she's not forcing other people to abide by it, then I don't mind.

No it means that Sansa knows that Sandor is her soulmate

That has nothing to do with it.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Is each petal supposed to represent a sex act or a partner?? Both are factually incorrect anyway; but if they're trying to instill the idea that lots of sex = damaging, then wouldn't lots of sex with one married partner eventually lead to exactly the same thing?!

Pretty sure they represent partners.

If I recall, the one and only time Sandor mentions the idea of sex with Sansa, it's to say that he 'should have raped her bloody'. And unless matters change dramatically, Sansa is likely to have very little choice in the matter of her virginity.

Yes when he was trying to goad Arya into killing him.

Oh well, that's fine then. Here I was thinking that threats of rape were unromantic.

Ah yes, the age old tactic of insinuating your conversation partner is stupid when you run out of arguments.
