Celebrating New Year's Eve the German way!

And Danish, Swedish and Norwegian way? Pretty sure we've infected some other countries with the Dinner for One fever. For those who've never seen it:

What are some strange or random New Year/New Year's Eve traditions in your country, FS?

Dinner for One is actually played on Dec. 23rd in Norway for some reason!

In what part? Do you mean the narrator or James? The narrator just explains what's going on (Miss Sophie's 90th birthday, her friends are all dead but she wants to celebrate it that way anyway, explains what the the phrases "same procedure as last year, Miss Sohpie?" and "same procedure as EVERY year, James" mean).

In any part! I caught "best friend" and where each person was sitting, that this was going to be dinner, but that's only because English is such a Germanic language. I didn't learn enough in school to pick up anything else (and forgetting all my verbs doesn't really help...).

That sounds very sweet. I'm gonna rewatch this tomorrow, since I should really be sleeping before I open the store in the morning...
