It's an "It Girl" thing. At any given time, there will be a starlet who is a perfect conglomeration of everything that's trendy at the time.

I also think she's a geek guy dream. In my day it was Jodie Foster, but similarly, I think geek guys like Zoe because she's pretty but not conventionally hot and seems smarter and more approachable than, say, Megan Fox.
