It annoys me too. It's not even necessarily the character that bothers me. I'm just sick of the writers doing it all the time.

I agree with a lot of what the other commenters are saying so I'm having trouble figuring out why it bothers me so much but it is definitely annoying to me.

They're using the implication that they're gay as an easy go to for humour. Of course it's not necessarily homophobic to correct people if they say you're gay when you're not but there's really no need for it to keep being used in the show except as a joke.
