You'd think as a bisexual woman you'd want those people to identify as they really are, i.e.; bisexual themselves.

Wow, who made you the definer of personal opinions? Other nonnie has an opinion that doesn't mesh with yours. Get over it and stop trying to project yourself onto others.

(Because we're not you!)

I dunno, I would feel a little disingenuous identifying myself as bi if there was only one person of the same sex I was ever interested in.

(Anonymous) 2014-01-02 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
It only takes one to be bi - you never know when you'll meet another one.

(Anonymous) 2014-01-02 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
what if you don't, though?

(Anonymous) 2014-01-02 11:43 am (UTC)(link)
With that logic, everyone would have to label themselves as bi because if you're gay/lesbian, you never know if or when you'll meet a person of the opposite sex that'll make you bi, if you're straight, you never know if or when you'll meet a person of the same sex that'll make you bi and if you're asexual, you never know if or when you'll meet a person any sex that'll make you want to have sex and thereby, make you bi.

Except they weren't bisexual. They were straight or gay with a single exception. I don't want them to identify as something that they aren't, because that doesn't do anyone any favors at all.

Sexual orientation is described as a spectrum for a reason - because most people don't fit exactly into a box.
