Hmm, OP, I notice you specifically say you can't quite Fandom Secrets, not the rest of the fandom. That actually makes me wonder what your religious reasons are, because to me FS seems one of the more... relatively benign corners of fandom. Heck, most of the time there isn't even anything porny.

For all the nonsense I see on F!S, this community is relatively sane and sober. I think it's because people are all talking about secrets here and most commenters are completely anonymous.

I feel like anonymous communities tend to be meaner as a whole, though, but have less interpersonal drama.

You have listed all the reasons why I cannot quit FS. :-) Though I have mostly left all other fandom behind. I do spend a lot of time here though. I am wondering if it is really time well-spent. :-(
