The "miscommunication causes people to reject The Hero and they leave and get all mopey only for them to return and save the day" plot.

I fucking hate this trope because 90% of the time it would all be fine if they would listen to The Hero for approximately 1/10th of a minute instead of going automatically "NO I AM BETRAYED YOU NO LONGER EXIST TO ME I CAN'T EVEN HEAR YOU LALALA".

Like, I get feeling betrayed, I mean, I've felt that way (though, admittedly, to a lesser extent than most movies because yooooooo I'm not saving the Earth or anything), but come ON. TALK TO EACH OTHER DAMMIT.
