But what about Michael Myers?

And there are some very young real-life kids that have done some horrible things - Dedric Owens(6) (although he wasn't charged since it was argued that he lacked the ability to form intent at that age), Joseph Hall(10), Robert Thompson(10) and Jon Venables(10), Mary Bell(11), Jordan Brown(11).

Yes, that was my thought as well. There was another case in my area a few months ago - someone around 7 or 8 years old who'd very deliberately killed another child. No charges, because he's too young. Of course it gets a lot of publicity, because it IS unusual. I find it horrible, but I don't find it unrealistic to the point that it drags me out of a story (unless it's badly written, in which case that's the writing that's the problem).
