I realize now, a long time after I've read it, that the author was trying to describe PTSD, but I'm not sure if there could have been more cues or something cause it went right past me while reading. I remember thinking she was just being an annoying morphine addict, but, yes, I do know that she just went through some bad stuff. I guess I felt like she just crumbled all of a sudden when she'd been so strong for two books. Though, to be fair, I would have been a sobbing mess during the first Games, soooo...

I distinctly remember a spontaneous exclamation of "oh come ON" when Prim died. That was just...drama for drama's sake. Katniss was already a shadow of her former self, was it super necessary to kill off the main reason all this shit happened in the first place?
