Wow, that's VERY retarded. Sorry that happened for you. I don't know much about what happened in that roleplay, really. But it sounds similar from what I saw. I actually didn't care for the some who left. They played some .hack GU characters in a way that made me cringe. They were so out of character it felt like they were ruining them because I love those games so much.

Those who play characters out of character really ruin it, so I'm glad you chose to boot one for it.

Certain fandoms always send up red flags for me. One of them is .Hack.

Yeah, I understand why. I'm a fan of the games, but I'm not in the fandom in any way, shape or form for that reason.

Ironically, it was an issue with .hack//GU that caused the drama to begin with.

See, I thought so, too. That's what I was told. But for more than half the people who left, I don't think it was the final straw as half of them weren't even involved. I kind of felt it was the excuse.

That's how I saw it from the outside looking in. If that's wrong, sorry. But that's how it looked.

Oh, the .hack// thing wasn't the source of the problem. The problem - the way in which players were mistreated - had been going on for quite a while before that. The .hack// issue just upset the .hack// muns, their friends who were in the RP heard about it and got upset on their behalf as well, and...well, people stick up for and stick with their friends. That particular little bit of discord was the catalyst for deeper issues, not the cause.

If you say so. I can't say I really agree, but I can't prove otherwise and can respect it.

Whatever the reason, the point? It needs to fucking be let go already. It's been TWO FUCKING MONTHS since it happened. The fact that Econtra is still STALKED by a certain person so they can post shit on Bad RPers Suck or make secrets like this... That's just sad. I know I'VE moved on. I know just about everyone has except, apparently, the few who will remain unnamed. Even though I know exactly who they are.

I'm sorry it happened. I really am. But I'm more sorry some people can't just let it GO. I can certainly respect everyone who left for whatever reason regardless of whether or not I agree. I had HOPED, in return, everyone else could respect Econtra even if they hated people/the place and move on to their own happy RP place. I was apparently wrong. This is putting stress on people who may want to stay in both RPs or stay friends with each other, too. It's a lose-lose situation. I don't know what this is suppose to accomplish, but it isn't doing shit except making people get headaches.

(Sorry, mini rant. Not directed at you. Just in general. I'm so sick of this and seeing people who have nothing to do with this directly getting upset.)

I didn't see the .hack characters as out of character, but I saw a bunch of the others as being out of character.

Well no matter where you go in ever roleplay there will be characters out of character. Some more than others. I just noticed the .Hack characters more because I'm real into it. I thought they were pretty bad. Well at least two of them. Out of character stuff is tricky because it really is a matter of opinion.
