JK Rowling just asked that adult stuff be put where kids couldn't find it easily which is reasonable. It was WB that tried for a while to purge HP fan stuff.

IIRC, she doesn't want it to be posted where young children can find it (because, you know, HP is a kid's book, so there's a way bigger chance of them finding it than of them finding, say, Game of Thrones stuff). I remember an ONTD article a year or two back that totally misrepresented what she said about it for the purpose of the article's argument, though.

I thought the latest BBCSherlock fandom explosion was over the pair making fun of it IN PUBLIC, no? Though they were put in an awkward position by the interviewer, who should have warned them upfront how very bad the badfic she got them to read really was.
