When did he rape Skyler? When he tried having sex with her, she said no and he STOPPED?

I didn't say rape.

I said sexual assault.

Which is what that was.

Well, there was the time he tried to force himself on her against the fridge. I could view that as either attempted sexual assault or sexual assault. It kind of depends on how Skyler views he. Walt didn't stop right when she told him to stop. He kept trying to force himself on her until she finally became physically forceful enough with him.

But the definite instance of sexual assault was when Walt had sex with her at the end of that one S5 episode. At that point Skyler was absolutely terrified of him and Walt knew it. They were not sharing a bed or having sex at that point in time in their relationship. He just got into bed and initiated sex with her, both without her consent, while she lay there frozen in terror. That's rape.

I wouldn't say that things were seeming very consensual in the first half of s5 when he was knowingly terrifying Skyler and she couldn't keep him out of her bed.

It was their bed, not hers.

And it's not like she couldn't sleep on the couch if she wanted to.

a) she had just learned that he had murdered three people, she was frightened

b) by all appearances she wanted out of the marriage but she was trapped because Walt wouldn't let the kids go

Pretty sure Walt would've manipulated her into keeping up appearances and Walt Jr. absolutely would've fallen back on the 'bitch mom' interpretation if she was sleeping on the couch.

Besides, it wasn't his bed either. Emphasis on theirs.
