I think you'll find there are plenty of people who are happy to agree with you that Walt's just a good guy trying to protect his family. That Jesse was lucky to have such a smart father figure looking out for him, and that Skyler married a winner and her only problem is she's just a bitch, and that Walter Jr. just doesn't appreciate how badass his dad is.

There are lots and lots of people out there who agree with you.

Oh me? I think Walt is a complicated, interesting character, but ultimately no less monstrous for that complexity.

I think we jive on this issue. :)

Also, fans of morally-iffy characters who try to explain how they're just misunderstood or something really get on my nerves in general. People who do that always seem like they're completely missing the point. Either you're interested in the character as they're actually portrayed, or you're just a fan of someone vaguely similar that you made up in your head. I just... Not everyone has to be the good guy, dude. :/
