I'm above average intelligence, but sometimes I feel like that's all I am. I have no hobbies to speak of and not many friends, so through the years I've convinced myself that just being smart (and talented at my job, for what it's worth) is enough.

As a result, nothing bothers me more than stories about child prodigies. If all I am is smart, and I'm not even all that smart...it makes things seem a little pointless.

So get a hobby. There's a lot. It might not make you interetsting, but it's something to do.
