I have no good reason not to come out as bi to my family. I'm not afraid to, I just haven't. I'll probably only tell them when I have a girl to take home, but since I've dated so infrequently just in general, that could be 5+ years from now...

I lost over a stone in weight this term without particularly trying, and I've been very happy about it. Then yesterday I read through the journal I kept two years ago and found the day I wrote about being depressed over my weight. Which was a stone less than it is now. And now I don't know how to feel.

I'm seriously considering buying a $500 doll right now to add to my collection. IT'S DISCOUNTED BY $100!!!

Am seriously trying hard not to let myself do it. I have the money in my doll budget but it's supposed to be saved for specific other dolls that are a lot cheaper. (As in, I could buy about 5 dolls for that price.) And holy shit I'm a fervent capitalist republican and even I feel bad about spending that much money on something that frivolous.

I wish I was brave enough to ask some of my friends if they want to have casual sex with me. For all I know, I could be missing out some good times, but I'd rather keep those friendships and not be labeled a creep.

I can't be friends with anyone who knowingly cheats on their partner or knowingly goes after someone in a committed monogamous relationship. I just can't see the the same way anymore, and how easy it is for them to hurt someone like that for their own selfish reasons. I also think in the back of my head, if they can do something like that to them, they can do it to me.

I guess this makes me a harsh person, but I can't change how I feel. To me it's an end of a friendship.

I don't know how to find a healthy balance when it comes to weight and eating. I'm either starving myself and obsessing over numbers and possible binging/purging, or I'm ignoring everything and just grazing all day and gaining weight. I wish I had money and resources to get help because I feel so lost every time I try to get fit and healthy and it just starts to lead back to obsessive thoughts and behaviors. :(

I always defined myself through being incredibly bright in a never trying hard kind of way.

It was at the expense of my academic success and interpersonal success, largely contributed to by a combination of specific learning disabilities, and mental illness (SPD).

I was a company director in an orginisation most people here would be aware of before twenty, and achieved my dream career in my mid twenties. Except what that's done is made me realise that I'm not nearly as unique or special as I used to imagine, and whilst I've met people I've clicked with like I haven't in a decade, it's struck me that they've all made an equal mess of everything outside their job as I have.

I look at those who've been doing this into their forties, and they all have empty personal lives, and have alienated everyone around them.

I often end up ignoring friends if it's not face to face communication. I don't care for texting and often feel like I don't have anything worthwhile to say and the conversations don't go anywhere.

I'm worried that if something unexpected ever happens to me, my parents won't use my preferred pronouns at my funeral. I expect my dad to completely forget, if it's up to him, and if it's my mom's call, I'm sure she'll decide it's ridiculous and just not do it. The fact that I'm worried about this isn't exactly a secret, it's just such a petty thing that I feel weird talking about it.

There's some rl shit I should feel really bad or sad or whatever about right now and I should probably talk about, but at the same time I don't even want mention it because I feel weirdly unemotional and the last time I cried about it was awful and my fiancé pissed me off when he tried to make me feel better. I don't even remember if I was justified in feeling pissed off or not, but I don't want to even get into it with anyone because I'm either a.) thinking too much about something that is actually nothing or b.) weirdly unemotional about something that is actually something. And, I know I'm unemotional about this because I did my crying earlier in the year about it and now my feelings are under a scab. Anyway this post makes no sense because my brain makes no sense about emotions.

I sometimes have this irrational flicker of paranoia that someone's going to hack my LJ and tell people I died, and when I "come back" it'll look like pseuicide or something. Fortunately one of my best friends is on my flist, and she would definitely back me up. Plus, hopefully it's obvious I'm not that kind of person.

I made a secret years ago about how I was so into blood!kink in fic that I found a group of local "vampires" on the internet and went to a donor party where we all cut each other and "drank" the blood. Pretty sure it was posted as "not fandom", but I never saw the thread. I've always been curious what people's reactions were - were they grossed out or was there someone else who felt the same way I do about it? I would post it again but Case would probably mark it as a repeat. Oh well.

as I surf tumblr I find myself frequently(secondhandedly) embarrassed by the actions of "open minded people"

Someone is annoyed about a comic by an SJW (Humon no less)saying "it's okay if we say hateful stuff and if you're offended by it, it doesn't matter because they're "venting" or whatever? Someone's response *barfs on you*

and then there's the fact that it's rare to find a debate that doesn't devolve into "you're a literal piece of shit" "No YOU'RE a literal piece of shit" "no YOU ARE" "You're the WORST piece of shit"

and then there's the girl who brags about how she would like to (tw : blood and general grossness)spray her menstrual blood on MRAs

Just AUGH do these people listen to themselves? How can anyone take them seriously when they're talking like this?

I suddenly miss sociology class where I could talk and debate these issues with actual damnfucking adults.
