(Anonymous) 2014-01-04 06:22 am (UTC)(link)You have the luxury of making that decision as and when you need to. You are officially "Straight Passing" and you don't even fucking care. and yet you assume you can just tag along on the back of our struggle? Fuck you.

Anyone can be straight passing, I'm straight passing and I've been out for years. Their decision and desire to come out is their business and their business alone, it's hardly their fault others assume they're the default unless they date samesex. The fact you've decided this is reason enough to hate on bi people just shows that you're the horrible person contributing to the problems of acceptance within lgBt.

Re: Nonfandom Confessions
We live in a society in which, unless you're wearing a rainbow pin/scarf/bracelet; or being undeniable romantically affective in public with a same-sex partner; EVERYONE ASSUMES "STRAIGHT UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE". We're all straight-passing unless the context and/or behavior screams "not straight".
The fact that we have to hide our sexual orientation, and that that absolutely sucks, ranging from "depressing" to "life-thretenly stressful, because if I don't pass as straight my status as a living person is in danger" is another thing completely; and does not give anyone a free-card to hate on bisexuals.
