as someone who hates getting head, I cannot approve. Sometimes I feel pressured into pretending I like it because all woman are somehow expected to, because that's like "the time when you make the guy go down for/on you" and somehow empowering. bleh. And all this "yay finally a show where the gals get some head" kinda promotes exactly that. Fucking politics.

It's probably got more to do with the fact that movies where women receive oral sex get higher ratings than movies were guys receive oral sex. Or even movies with graphic rape scenes.

ratings as in age restrictions? you mean in your country, right? because that's sure as hell not the case in my country. and I don't really understand how that makes it any more or less praiseworthy. I go in for a lot of mature stuff, but I wouldn't go "ooh that series has so much more dismemberment than just people being shot! praise, praise!" (even though I find it pretty bigoted of media to crack down on realistic violence while allowing lots of trivialized depictions of it.)

I'm a little annoyed that they had to "justify" it in the show, but I'm still pleased that it happened.

The thing I appreciate most about this show is not the plot, or the characters. It's the amount of oral the women in it receive.

I watched this show for the wtf factor (and I also REALLY want to know what's in those damn vials and why Olivia or whatever her name was needed them.)

There were too many subplots that were never explained/solved/went anywhere...

Even without the spoiler thing mentioned, I would question the no reciprocation part (having a boyfriend who very obviously gets sexual pleasure from giving oral sex). I don't even know this show, but I like that there's a show that has women receiving oral because I feel that it's much more common than is depicted in fiction.
