I love the Muppets. I always visit that attraction in Disney.

The Muppet Show was a staple of my childhood. A 'whole family' viewing thing, so *fun* and silly and the guests were always so awesome. ALICE COOPER, for heaven's sake!

Loved Sam the Eagle (everyone is naked under their clothes!!), and the old coots heckling up in the balcony, and Gonzo and his chicken-love, and Animal, and Pigs In Spaaaaaaaaace! and all the weird little and not-so-little creatures they came up with.....

When I was in marching band, we had a puppet Animal, and he went to all the away games with us, and rode on one of the drum kits (until we had to march halftime, when he was given to one of the chaperones to hold).

I was also thinking today of Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas, and how many years it'd been since I'd seen that particular show.

I have no favorite actual Muppet, per se; I loved The Electric Mayhem, and the core group, and the strange extras (there was a shaggy white dog who showed up once in a while that looked like a real dog until its mouth opened and it sang; I loved that little dog).

TruFax - My ex-roomie was the first "Dr. Teeth" for the Disney World Muppet show. She also played April in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle show.

I never saw the actual Muppet Show but I love the movies. Can't wait for the new one.
