Sometimes people don't want realism, they want tropey fics that have nothing to do with reality.

Yup. And maybe people who write unapologetically kinky slash don't write the same tropes into their gen and het fic, because they're not invested in it in the same way.

Yeah. God help me but my id loves some types of tropey garbage I would never condone in real life.

which is fine if they warn for it

but there are authors who write about non-con without labeling it non-con probably because they don't recognize it as being that... and that's unsettling.

And then funnily enough the fanfics labeled OOC can be way more in character than what some writers don't use that label for.
