This, to be honest. The reboot was horrifying and so *not my Trek* it hurt, but if that means that TOS gets more love, it's all good. I can not-see the reboot just as easily as anything else i detest.

I hold an honest to goodness personal grudge over JJ Abrams getting Star Trek considering all of his comments about the philosophy of Star Trek, etc.

THE VERY IDEA THAT WE SOMEHOW NEEDED YET ANOTHER MEANINGLESS BLOCKBUSTER THAT KINDA CRAPPED ALL OVER WHAT MADE TOS SO SPECIAL OMG excuse me while I go cry in a corner.

I had *no* clue about his 'thoughts' on TOS when the first movie came out, and i saw it and was like 'wtf did i just watch?'. And then i got to reading and holy hell.

I dunno who thought giving him the franchise was a good idea, but they need a spanking.
