(Anonymous) 2014-01-05 01:25 am (UTC)(link)(Short version, if anyone cares: throughout the game almost every plotline, major and minor concludes with with the characters involved realizing that they need to let go of the past and get on with their lives. Yuna, on the other hand, outright admits (in a few of the chapter 5 area-closing quests most notably, I know it's a big part of how Luca and Macalaneia Woods end, and I think there was one other where it was a big focus) that she knows she needs to but isn't ready to yet. So to me her finally accepting that it's time to move on (as opposed to not getting a choice if you fail to do everything to get the good ending) is the most satisfying and thematically appropriate ending.)

(Anonymous) 2014-01-05 01:40 am (UTC)(link)I know S-E wouldn't be like Bioware in their attempts to respect canon choice--as much as Bioware is unpopular right now--but I kinda wish they would be.
