RDJ has never acted, he has always "just played himself in different roles". There's this kind of actors. You like 'em or you don't, but they're there.

I watched some of his other films, and my opinion is still the same? Cannot say I have an expert knowledge of his filmography, though, so I might be mistaken.

I agree. Like Harrison Ford, who built his career with two huge franchises (Star Wars and Indiana Jones) with basically the same lovable rogue character. Those movies are some of my favorites, and clearly a lot of people like that character type, it's no big deal. I don't know why anyone would get their knickers in a twist over it.

Because Harrison Ford himself is vastly different from those roles that he played? Whereas RDJ is just trying to shove his own personality on the roles that he plays. There's a difference.
