I still don't get the point of the song.

I mean, it's a great song, both in terms of music and the graphics of the scene. But, like, half the point of the song was undermined by the rest of the movie. She finally lets go of all her constraints and ends up nearly throwing her kingdom into an eternal winter. The general theme of not cutting herself off from her emotions, I understand, but otherwise...meh. I can't be inspired by her whole 'letting go' montage when I know what resulted from it.

What resulted wasn't caused by letting go, it was caused by letting go after having kept everything completely bottled up for so long that she didn't know how to function. She should have been allowed to "let go" all along. If she had, disaster would probably have been averted and it wouldn't have been so jarring to everyone else.
