I love the fantasy genre and I also love Game of Thrones. It's like Lord of the Rings, but, you know, readable.

Aw, I found the opposite to be true. But then, I'm a sucker for prose/language.

I found that they are not alike AT ALL, but while GRRM is a preschooler compared to Tolkien where writing style is concerned, GRRMs characters behave like real people. It's like comparing Metropolis with Matrix.
