Not everyone shares your tastes in highly flawed characters. There's nothing wrong with wanting a few good points with a character. It doesn't mean they want perfect characters.

+1 If I wanted to see a bunch of assholes acting as assholes all the time, I wouldn't bother with the show.

Eeeh, I'm guessing they meant to say that if they wanted to deal with assholes they'll stay in tumblr? (however, I'not a native speaker, *shrugs*)

In general, it's not so much that people don't want flawed characters, it's that they want characters whose flaws don't annoy them to watch.
