I've never understood the whole "unless you can play as a female, they are ignoring my demographic" mindset, so I won't reply to that. But, wanting the option to sleep your way to the top to come along with that... I dunno, it just felt like a total juxtaposition to your previous point, y'know? I personally wouldn't like it, unless it'd be an option for the male characters as well.

It's the 'man is default' thing in action. I mean why does a game have to have a 'male' protag to appeal to men? Why if women can and are expected to play as men in most games, can't a man play as a woman?

And to be clear I'm not talking about women playable characters that are designed to be nothing but eye candy. There's nothing wrong with games that have eye candy playables - but when that's almost all the women protags out there? It gets frustrating.
