I want this too, except for the sleeping one's way to the top part. But it's never going to happen (not even WITH sleeping one's way to the top). Maybe some other company will rip them off and use a female protagonist, but Rockstar themselves don't have it in them.

I don't know about the male prostitutes thing (given that female prostitutes far outnumber them IRL) but there's no reason Rockstar can't do female protagonists. Someone recently asked them why GTA5, with its three protagonists, didn't have a female one; while I understand their response, I like to think that they got to wondering about the possibilities. This three-protagonists gimmick they've got going definitely gives them some room for gender dynamics. They've given us 3 black protagonists and a Chinese one over the years, and while Niko was white he was a less-used variety of white. I think a woman is certainly possible -- besides, it's not like there weren't playable female characters in the original GTA! (It had no bearing on the game itself though, it just affected what color your sprite was.)

Won't happen any time soon. Because honestly, there is not a market for it. While about 40% of gamers are women, they largely play Facebook/phone games. Only about 15% of the GTA market it women. And only about 30% of the "violent" game market is women.

See I'm with you on most of this (other than the "sleeping your way top bit" until Trevor has to suck his success out of a dick, I don't see why a female character would need to either.) and would also like an open world sandbox crime game featuring my demographic.

BUT.

I can't really be super pissed off at existing games that do not cater to my demographic. Besides, as nice as it would be to see and play as a women who is a badass criminal mastermind, it's not like I'm incapable of relating with the dudes.

I've never understood the whole "unless you can play as a female, they are ignoring my demographic" mindset, so I won't reply to that. But, wanting the option to sleep your way to the top to come along with that... I dunno, it just felt like a total juxtaposition to your previous point, y'know? I personally wouldn't like it, unless it'd be an option for the male characters as well.

I want a GTA game geared towards MY demographic with a female main character and male strippers/prostitutes. Possibly with an option to sleep your way to the top between violent murders and drug deals. Unfortunately, it will NEVER happen. Thanks for nothing, Rockstar.

It would be very cool. It would probably be the best thing to happen in gaming in a long time but as you say, it will never happen.

Video games are for boys, don't ya know? Girls are yucky and boys don't wanna play with girls or play girly games in case they get cooties or their view of the world changes or something.

Holding the belief that a woman could "sleep her way to the top", especially in the drug world, puts you firmly in the game's intended demographic. A woman who sleeps around in the drug world would be used up and disposed of pretty quickly. No one would have any respect for her and she'd be treated like a whore. Only a woman who used her brains and nerve would get anywhere.
