I think the game has deliberately gotten too goofy in an attempt to distinguish itself from GTA. But the character freedom (and the fact that your character isn't at all silent) is fantastic for me.

My character is a hot, redheaded bloke with a phenomenal muscle bod and an allergy to shirts. All he's lacking are male hos (Bro-hos? Ho-Bros?) and sextastic uniforms for his thugs (Thug-hos? Ho-bro-thug-bros?) and his life will be complete.
