Re: Resetting IP address

1. Have you tried restarting your computer?

If 1. does not work, It's not the modem, it's the router. Probably lost all the settings and reverted back to factory defaults. And/or locked out your MAC address. Reset the router (pin in the hole in the back/bottom), access the router's network page (varies for each model, check your documentation), make sure your comp's MAC address is on the exceptions list, and/or the router is set to broadcast, if you've disabled the security. Check that the lights on the modem are OK, cable to the router is good, lights on the router are green, restart your comp, and it should pick up the network. Make sure the password you set on the router's page (if you set one--you really should set one) matches the password in the network connection on the comp.
