I do not know what you mean about the CGI. A couple of months ago I put LotR in to watch, and I ended up only listening to it because I could see how old the CGI was and how much less real it was compared to The Hobbit's.

Of course, I am willing to chalk this up to taste, and accept that something about the new CGI rubs you wrong.

I would also venture (after reading other comments) to place blame on the 48fps, which I feel makes it feel too real.

But while I can understand why people think there's too much CGI... I don't care?
