Transcripts!
Secret 1 - Sailor Moon (new upcoming anime adaptation)
I want to be excited about this, but... There's no solid release date, no promo art, no voice actors confirmed and no news on dub licenses. It's disappointing.
Until we get SOMETHING confirmed, my assumption is that it isn't happening at all.
Secret 2 - Glee (TV series)
I thought the finger holding was SO SEXY.
Secret Because: I'm a Straight girl.
Secret 3 - The Nostalgia Critic (internet comedian and reviewer)
I nearly stopped watching after his Pearl Harbor review where he glamorized the genocidal horror shows that was Imperial Japan at the expense of the US military and then went on an angry, humorless rant about Michael Bay disrespecting sailors by showing that some of them couldn't swim. (So? Some of them ACTUALLY COULDN'T SWIM.) Then again after his AI review, where he said that religious belief makes you less human. But I gave up on him completely after his Top 11 Dumbest Lord of the Rings Moments review, where he in all seriousness criticized the films for making Sam and Frodo's friendship too gay.
Secret 4 - The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (film), shipping, Tauriel and Kíli (characters)
After watching the movie, I kept wondering why I fell so hard for this ship (I was prepared to hate it). I finally figured it out:
It's the role reversal. The typical gender roles are totally switched around- It's Tauriel, the girl, who protects Kili and saves his life (multiple times even!) instead of the guy doing all the protecting and saving, as it is usually in movies. Meanwhile, Kili plays the usually female role of having a crush on the hero and swooning after her. Unf.

Secret 5 - Adaptations, reboots, re-imaginings, continuations
Whenever I'm watching something that is an adaptation/continuation/reboot/re-imagining of something that's been around quite a while, I find myself trying to imagine what it would be like to be a fan from decades ago who suddenly traveled forward in time and stumbled upon this new version. If I had just turned on the TV and started watching any particular moment, how long would it take me to realize what I was seeing? Would I like it?
I've started having a hard time NOT doing this. I wish I could just enjoy things normally again.
Secret 6 - Doctor Who (TV series), Amy Pond and Donna Noble (characters)
I think part of the reason I love Amy so much is, when she was first introduced, I sort of assumed that she was meant as a "fuck you" to RTD for what was done to Donna. Since then, I've learned enough about Moffat to know that's not what happened, and Amy grew in different directions, but in my mind, she still ended up inheriting some of Donna's awesomeness by association.
Secret 7 - Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (book)
Of all the deaths in Book Seven, Hedwig's hit me the hardest.
Secret 8 - Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series), behind camera scenes, Joss Whedon (director)
Knowing his obsession with petite young women who kick ass, I assume this expression is the prelude to Joss Whedon's O-face.
Secret 9 - Babylon 5 (TV series)
The way her lips shape when she smiles is very similar to mine. This makes me feel kind of awesome.
