I had to drive my mother in to work this morning at 5am. All of the car doors except the rear passenger-side door had frozen shut. After I drove her to work and she got out of the car, the front passenger door was opened, and then it froze open. Eventually I ended up waking mechanosapience up and trading off car-thawing duties, the door finally agreed to close at around 7am.

It's definitely a thing. You go to shut the door, and the damn thing just bounces off the latch.
