I agree with chard. Also, the gyno might need to prescribe antibiotics if you do have a bartholin cyst, esp. if they have to drain it. They'll need to know about your medical history and present state so they don't prescribe something that could exacerbate existing issues.

I'm sorry to hear you have a cyst :( I get cysts in my pubic region sometimes and they are the absolute worst. Ironically, the only one that was technically a bartholin cyst was the most mild of them, but I gather from my gyno that mine was an uncommon experience. I hope your gyno helps and you're cyst free soon!

I think that is what it is. It seems to be in the right area. And it doesn't really hurt unless I poke it! So it isn't that bothersome. Just something I want to get checked out.
