I think about silly stuff like this too, it's not overly distracting but it does bug me a bit. But I also know that in movie and TV land no one needs to go to the bathroom anyway.

I'm always thinking about these things! Usually it doesn't distract me much, either, but Frozen was an exception. I think it's because I usually wind up imagining myself in the fictional world and can't help but wonder about how I would actually get on there and all the practical issues start coming up, like "Gosh, it would be cool to go on a quest in Middle Earth! ...Hang on, no way these dwarves are carrying toilet paper. What if I got diarrhea from drinking water with Cryptosporidium?? Never mind. Back to the movie."

Frozen didn't bug me too bad with it, tbh I think the pretty in that scene distracted me from the 'wait what about a bathroom?' thoughts. Thor 2 was the one that really distracted me whenever we saw the prison cells because none of them had any kind of toilet-like facilities and all I could think was 'but even prisoners have to pee'.

I also think far too much about how ladies in apocalypse settings(zombie or otherwise) deal with periods because hot damn if I was caught in a sudden zombie outbreak I would ransack the nearest supermarket or pharmacy for supplies~

Kind of late response, but I think that'd be one case where menstrual cups would really come in handy. Of course they're still more of an online product, so good luck trying to find one after the hordes have been unleashed, but yeah.

I did not think of those! But yes they would be really handy considering they're reusable, otherwise I'd be carrying around a backpack full of pads and tampons.
