Maybe I'm in the minority but one of the things I loved about Buffy was that she got called out on her actions. I have trouble watching/reading superhero/hero stories for too long if the hero is always supposed to be in the right and always has the support of their loyal friends. Real relationships don't work like that, and heros who have a lot of power always inevitably make bad decisions.

That being sad, the thing about getting kicked out of her house that bugged me is that it was this big dramatic moment that... amounted to nothing. They quickly all got back on the same page, which we needed for the finale but it was definitely missing more character moments to both set up kicking out Buffy and to have them make up. But season 7 is like my least favorite of all the seasons, I don't even remember much from it because I barely rewatch any of it.

I gotta respectfully disagree with your first sentence. There was only one time during the show's run where Buffy needed to be called out on her behavior and actions and that was in When She Was Bad. Every other episode and season was about her friends - particularly Xander - slapping Buffy down for being human and reacting to traumatic events in her life as a human being and NOT a superhero.

And, for example, the one time she tried to act as a hero rather than a human being - when she felt she had to slay Anya for killing those frat boys - Xander was there again to tell her how wrong she was, even though she was finally doing what he had badgered, snarked and bullied her about in s2.

The infuriating thing was, the tone of the show was that he was right.

I completely agree (and OOOOHHHHH Xander irritates me).

The thing was, Buffy was just doing what they'd been pushing her to do all along. Everyone acted like being a Slayer meant being a master of military tactics, but that's not the case. Buffy's smart, sure, and she's a quick thinker, but slayers were created to fight alone, not lead armies. Yet suddenly everyone, Giles included, is pushing her to become the general of the army and lead, and when she does, and something goes wrong, then they turn on her. Yeah. I just. Not a fan of that.

I agree with this. Even if I do think that EVERYONE was out of line when they kicked Buffy, I GET why they felt that way and did it. And it bothers me how many people don't see that. I mean, they where wrong, but how can you not understand them feeling like that? I just see it as people siding with Buffy without accounting for the rest's feelings, and you can't go about it like that.

And yeah, it didn't amount to anything but make all of them go "Yeah, we should like listen to Buffy and all" I mean, if Buffy have had some sort of growth? I dunno, But I do feel that even her choices where as best as any or better, she had trouble talking with "her army". That's what caused the boot.

I can see why they would feel that they have a right to criticize Buffy.
But I also see that as far as we can tell, everybody in that house at that point is solely relying on her to not only defend them, and but also to PAY THE FUCKING MORTGAGE and attend to the rest of their needs.
Which adds a burden over her shoulder and take more of her time and energy working a job.

You want to complain about how the house is run, you start by paying the bills. Even Dawn at that point is of age to get a job.

So, make her step down from being the one in charge of their strategy, and to collaborate more? Okay.
Kicking her out of her own house? Hell no.
