I don't really get it, either, because frankly the Doctor would make a horrible boyfriend. He'd be fun to travel with and a fun friend, but why is everyone in love with him?

(Anonymous) 2014-01-11 02:12 am (UTC)(link)Different anon but this is why I feel like it's not necessary to insert romance into every TV show, fandom is going to ship what it wants to ship anyway. And if any show can do without romance, it's Who.
Plus nothing bugs me more then having a character EVERYONE must fall in love with. It also inevitably leads down a road where some actors don't really have the chemistry.
