I have very fond memories of this episode because it was the first Tennant episode I ever saw. I recall that (because I had only watched Nine before) I couldn't understand how anyone else could play the Doctor, surely I wouldn't enjoy this other random guy who was totally not the Doctor I knew playing him? How could I possibly believe that he was the Doctor too? Then about fifteen seconds after he appeared I was like "OH LOL THAT'S HOW" and I never had this problem with any other incarnation of the Doctor again ;)

I'm afraid that I can't judge the ep quite objectively because of my personal fondness that has nothing to do with it being comparatively good or not though. A mite too on-the-nose with the Ten/Rose shipping, I think, and somewhat less awesome as The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, but I recall being very impressed with how easily and vividly the guest starts were characterized in such a short amount of screentime.
