Sometimes the smartest and healthiest plan is indeed dropping out of classes and taking a different course in life. People always seem to think it's a negative and give a lot of bad feedback, but honestly it can be the best thing ever. Good for you for realizing what's best for you. I hope things work out.

Leaving school was one of the best things I ever did for my own health and happiness.

Same thing happened to me. It was a riiiiiiisky decision, faced a lot of hardship, ignorance and judgement at first, but ultimately turned out as the best choice for me.

Seconded. I may end up doing this myself if my current plan doesn't pan out.

I did end up going back to school years later but leaving was the best choice for me at the time... But people will give you a lot of flack over it.

I was depressed for the longest time and felt like an absolute failure about dropping out, until I settled into the idea that going to uni could mean I might actually die trying to get a degree I didn't really want. After I made my peace with that, I've been exploring my interests, working on myself, and trying to get jobs that I would not hate. This for sure has been the healthiest thing I've ever done for myself.

Good luck, Op.
