(Anonymous) 2014-01-12 06:02 am (UTC)(link)Not to say there's anything wrong with OP having a disorder, but the way you phrased this really sounds like an extrovert who can't understand having to scramble for something to say to a cashier unless they need treatment, instead of just being a neurotypical awkward introvert. What's minor to a social butterfly is a constant irritation for those who have no skill at small talk.

So I stand by my comment that maybe they should see a doctor to help them find out why this might be such a problem for them, because there's probably support available.
