Re: IPad vs Kindle Fire (HD)

I have an iPad* and it is quite easy to use, I have no issues browsing the web and so on. It is a pain to write more than a couple of sentences on, but that is easily fixed with a external keyboard if your mother types a lot.

My grandfather has a Samsung Tab and I had problems using it, even if I do have a Samsung Galaxy phone, the iPad is just more intuitive. The updates aren't really an issue for me.

And you don't really have to deal with iTunes, well not on a computer at least, and on the iPad it is no issue using it. I might connect my iPad to my computer like once every 3-4 months, mostly to change whichever episodes of shows I have on it before going traveling. Then again my use might differ from someone elses use.

But really tho, just get your mother the cheapest alternative, that was what I did for myself and that just happened to be the iPad...

*Which was the cheapest option for me, so I am confused by people saying it is more expensive.
