I feel you. Some of my fandoms have a proportion of gen to shippyfic that is close to 1:100. I wouldn't mind that so much if they weren't so damn tiny that the gen part consists of, like, 0.02 of a story.

In mine, it feels like it's 1:1000. Of course part of that might be because some authors mark their stories as gen *and* m/m or f/m, so I scroll through the fake gen and feel my blood pressure rising.

Yaaaaay! As someone who also enjoys genfic and writing genfic, I agree with the suggestion of leaving feedback - it's especially appreciated on gen because so few people are interested in reading stuff that doesn't have at least the suggestion of porn.

And on that note, thank you for being someone who will read genfic. YOU DO EXIST.
