I prefer the original trilogy to the prequels. However, since this is mostly because I actually don't care about Jedi/Sith and therefore sort of prefer the bit of the universe that has exactly six of them, I suspect this opinion won't make me any more popular.

I was just sort of in it more for the grim'n'gritty rebellion, smugglers and warrior princesses than for the space monks and the fall of the old republic. I like the prequels in that they give a good sense of what was lost, of what it is that the rebellion is remembering in the first place, but they definitely weren't my favourite part to actually watch.

Also, the originals have Lando. For some reason, this boosts them a lot for me.

But, you know, it's all about what you want to watch. So watch the bits that make you happy.
