You know when you know. If you're trying to pin down a date for when you SHOULD know whether you're interested. ..you're probably not that interested and should cut the person loose. If you end a date feeling like you want to see them again, you're on a good track, and that's all that matters.

This is honestly the best answer to this question. Life isn't a questionnaire that you fill out. There's no correct answer for something like this, because situations will vary. If you feel it for a person and want to continue seeing them and only them, then that would be when the monogamous relationship gets "serious". If this involves Facebook with that stupid "relationship status", whenever you feel that you want to see exclusively them, you should talk to that person so you can both update your status.
