Maybe Jesus wants to wear it ironically? You know. look at me overcoming humiliation, punishment and death thing. And it looks cool and tasteful, you can't go around wearing an actual crown or anything.

He's already pretty hipster seeing as his shirts are custom made screenprints.

But the irony adds layers of character. And actual layer layers for fashion reasons. I'm going to have to go on a pixiv hunt for him and Buddha in more cool clothes + traditional symbols now.

I thought it as less of an irony thing and more of a super enthusiastic, super keen, super trusty, super taking everything with positivity thing. Not saying those are the real Jesus's character, but those are definitely the anime Jesus's.
