Now we have political conspiracy! Forget about titans, titan shifters and Ymir-sama, now the story is about the evil church and goverment.

This arc is a snoozefest, let's hope it ends as soon as possible and we can go back to BRA's bussiness.

I wouldn't compare this to Berserk yet.I mean, I like SnK, but c'mon. It's nowhere near there yet. And probably never will be. Berserk's got a lotta quality backing it (if not a lot of updates)

Though come to think of it, Berserk has hella more rape by comparison... Is it too old for SJW's to care?

Hahaha, I never implied that SnK was anywhere near Berserk in terms of quality. I always compare dystopian fantasy-ish manga to Berserk though, because it's my favorite series and the benchmark I use to judge such works.

If SJWs knew about Berserk they'd probably hate it too. Sucks for them.

Berserk is fairly off the radar nowadays (specially considering it hasn't updated in A YEAR) and the fandom's pretty small. But from what I've read people just acknowledge the rape as problematic and there's not a lot of people who try to excuse it. Lot less screaming and people trying to tell others they should be super angry all the time about arcs that were written nearly a decade ago.

I remember a SJW girl saying that Berserk was oh my god so evil and bad and terrible and ptoblematic because all the mosnsters look like penises (or it was vaginas, I'm not sure).

(I am also reminded of Mithrigil's review of Suikoden IV where she said the monsters looked like STDs. Which was wtf, but for entirely different reasons.)

I've never understood the love for Berserk. I saw a good chunk of the anime and aside from the gratuitous violence and rape, it was so boring. None of the characters were interesting and I can't even remember what the plot was about.

The political conspiracy didn't just come out of nowhere. It's been simmering in the background since the very beginning of the series, and is directly tied into the entire story. Hajime Isayama isn't just going off on a tangent from the main storyline.

The problem is that right now people want to know more about the titan village BRA come from or what happened to Ymir. I don't think having the conspiracy arc at this point is a good idea, it would have been better having it in a future.

I'm guessing that the series wants to start addressing the secrets going on within the government and the military police first, before going into any big reveal about the titan trio and the shifters.

Have you seen the two bonus pages included in volume 12? There's at least a little info on what happened to them (Queen Ymir is still alive)
